A Romanesque historiated capital by Gislebertus (c. 1120–1135 CE) depicting the Nativity — the reclining Virgin Mary on a cushioned bed below, with the Christ Child in a manger flanked by ox and ass in the upper register, and Joseph in contemplation — all surmounted by deeply carved curling acanthus and scrolling tendrils.
