Originally built in 1864, and extensively remodeled and redesigned during the height of the Catalan Modernisme (Art Nouveau) period between 1902 and 1905 by master architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

Architecturally, it serves as a functional rooftop ventilation and chimney structure transformed into an ornamental capstone, designed to mask utility infrastructure while projecting the artistic patronage, wealth, and avant-garde taste of the Lleó Morera family.
