The Central Administration Dome and Tower of the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau (Catalan Modernisme)

2631

Built during the height of the Catalan Modernisme (Art Nouveau) period, constructed between 1902 and 1930 (specifically designed and initiated in 1902) by master architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

Architecturally, it serves as the monumental symbolic crown of the hospital’s central administrative hub, designed to project civic grandeur, provide natural light and ventilation to the interior spaces, and blend advanced 20th-century institutional functionality with traditional Catalan architectural aesthetics.
