State Administrative Access: Served as the secure architectural and symbolic threshold where the Imperial Council (Divan) met to discuss affairs of state under the Grand Vizier. Imperial Visual Authority: Designed to project the grandeur, openness, and cosmopolitan aesthetic evolution of the late Ottoman court to foreign ambassadors and subjects alike.
