Creation Date: 1430–1470 CE. Period: Mid-15th century / Late Medieval Spain (Hispano-Moresque period).

Trencher and Salver Utility: Known in contemporary documents as a tayador or tallador, this large plate could function as a trencher for carving or a salver for serving meats and other foods. Elite Heraldic Display: Emblazoned with the coat of arms of the Morelli family of Florence, it formed part of a large table service destined for elite domestic or export use.
