Cosmological Order and Architectural Framing: Designed to frame sacred portals, sanctuary boundaries, and gallery walls. In Khmer architecture, these intricate ornamental registers served both a structural and metaphysical purpose—acting as geometric and botanical boundaries that consecrated the temple space as a terrestrial replica of Mount Meru and the divine realm of the gods.
